PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) is implementing a new institutional animal care and use committee (IACUC) tool to support animal research in early 2022. This initiative is part of the phased implementation of the Research Administration Portal (RAP)<https://research.uoregon.edu/manage/research-administration-portal>.  



PROJECT STATUS: On-track



COMPLETED TASKS

  *   Website Updates

     *   The project team has updated the Animal Research<https://research.uoregon.edu/manage/research-integrity-compliance/animal-research> page on the research website with two new pages about the IACUC implementation project:

     *   1 - Learn more about RAP IACUC<https://research.uoregon.edu/learn-more-about-rap-iacuc>

     *   2 - RAP IACUC FAQ<https://research.uoregon.edu/rap-iacuc-faqs>



CURRENT TASKS

  *   System development

     *   The project team continues to work with the vendor on configuration and system development.

     *   System development will continue over the next month.

  *   User testing preparation

     *   The team has started preparing and planning for user testing.

     *   If you are interested in participating in user testing, email your interest to rapinfo at uoregon.edu



UPCOMING TASKS

  *   User testing execution

     *   User testing is scheduled to begin in late-November/early-December.

  *   Training preparation

     *   The project team will put together a training strategy that will outline when and how training for the IACUC module will be delivered to users closer to the go-live date.
