IACUC Module Project - June Update

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI) will be implementing a new institutional animal care and use committee (IACUC) tool to support animal research in early 2022. This initiative is part of the phased implementation of the Research Administration Portal (RAP)<https://research.uoregon.edu/manage/research-administration-portal>. 


PROJECT STATUS: On-track


COMPLETED TASKS

  *   Project kick-off communication

     *   A communication from Cass Moseley was sent to the IACUC community on May 10 announcing the kickoff of the IACUC module implementation project.

ONGOING TASKS

  *   Onboarding with the vendor

     *   Over the next couple of weeks, the project team will be meeting with the vendor to review the IACUC system and identify system configurations and/or business process changes that may be required for system implementation.

UPCOMING TASKS

  *   Confirm and approve proposed requirements

     *   Once the Onboarding phase of the project completes, the project team will review the requirements with IACUC stakeholders for feedback.

     *   Final system requirements will be approved by the VPRI.

  *   System development

     *   Once the requirements are approved, the vendor will begin an iterative system configuration and implementation process.

     *   Each iteration will be tested by the project team.
