prevention scientists to apply cutting-edge methods to emerging critical research needs in the prevention of substance use and addiction. Each Postdoc has two mentors, one each in substance use prevention and methodology; well-established senior scientists
serve as mentors. Postdocs are immediately involved in ongoing projects on substance use leading to publication, develop their own lines of research, are formally mentored in writing a grant application, and participate in collaborative research and professional
development. The Prevention Research Center at Penn State houses many innovative, interdisciplinary research projects with substantial funding from the National Institutes of Health.
