<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="color:black">As many of you know, we have a Center grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse focused on parenting in the context of opioid use, “The Center on Parenting and Opioids (CPO).” This Center is a collaboration
between faculty in the Prevention Science Institute, the Center for Translational Neuroscience, and Oregon Health & Science University. The overall aim of the CPO is to improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities affected by the opioid
crisis through a focus on behavioral (parental responsivity, warmth) and neurocognitive systems (e.g., executive functioning, reward responsiveness) that are underlying mechanisms common to both addiction issues and parenting challenges. In addition to conducting
research studies, one of the goals of the CPO is to provide training opportunities for early career investigators, and to provide support for pilot studies.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
