re-appointment), starting as soon as 5/1/18. The Faculty
Researcher will work under the guidance of Dr. Shannon
Lipscomb, with the Roots of Resilience team. The Roots of
Resilience project is funded to develop and conduct a pilot
test of an online learning and coaching program to help
early childhood teachers promote resilience among young
children impacted by trauma. This project is supported by
the US Department of Education Institute for Education
Sciences, and is in year 3 of 4. Research on usability and
feasibility is nearing completion, with a randomized test
planned for year 4.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

Faculty Researcher will collaborate in all phases of the
research and will contribute to and/or co-author
publications, reports, and presentations for various
audiences including practitioners, policy makers,
academics, funders, and the community. H/She will also
contribute to revision of the Roots of Resilience program
and grant writing to extend the work. The person hired for
this position may also serve as a coach and/or instructor
to support implementation of the Roots of Resilience
program. Mentorship and professional development will be

</b>Roots of Resilience: Teachers Awakening Children’s<b> </b>Healing
combines online modules with video-based online coaching for
early childhood teachers caring for young children impacted

teachers in both home-based and center-based early learning
programs to help children build resilience by providing
supportive, engaging, and trauma-sensitive care. Funding:
