Dear Prev Sci students,

The registration for winter 2018 courses opens tomorrow. Please
read the information below carefully as it pertains to your
winter term courses.

Time overlap between EDUC 614 and CPSY 645: As per your
program plan, you are supposed to take EDUC 614 (Educational
Stats) and CPSY 645 (Health Promotion and Equity) in winter
term. However, the in-person class for EDUC 614 is taught on Mon
& Wed from 4 - 5:50 and overlaps by 50 mins with CPSY 645
which is on Wed from 2 - 4:50. You could still take the CPSY
645 and EDUC 614 courses in Winter term by taking the online
version of EDUC 614 which is offered on Mon from 4 - 6:50 and
does not overlap with CPSY 645. However, we are trying to move
the class times to allow you the option to take EDUC 614
in-person or online. Please wait for clarification from us
before registering for these two classes. You WILL get a spot in
these 2 classes, so wait for confirmation from us (by Mon
morning) before registering.
PREV 634 (Implementation Science): Please register
to take this course in Winter 2018. We do not have
confirmation if this course will be offered every year, so it is
possible it may not be offered again until Winter 2020. Also,
note that this course only requires a pre-requisite of PREV
631 (Intro to Prev Sc). Ignore the message that the
pre-requisite for this course is CPSY 631 or CPSY 643. Please
register for this course as soon as the registration opens.
If you have difficulty registering for the course contact Atika or
Leslie.

Winter 2018 course load: For the first year PhD

EDUC 614: Educational Statistics
CPSY 645: Health Promotion and Equity
SPSY 652: Bio Aspects of Behavior
PREV 607 (Sem Res Prev Science)

Please note that some courses in your program are offered every

Think about the different course offerings in your program plan
to make modifications to your course work if needed. For
instance, you could take SPSY 652 (Bio Aspects of Beh) in Winter
2020 instead of Winter 2018. You could take CPSY 642 (Child and
Family Interventions) in Winter 2018, Winter 2019, or Winter
2020.

If you have any questions about Winter 2018 registration or
your program plan, please don't hesitate to contact Atika,
