Hello Dr. Doty,
I am not sure if you remember me- I am a fellow FSOS alum and we went to Stats Camp the same summer. I am faculty at St. Olaf College (undergraduate liberal arts college), and I teach a January-term course called Prevention Science in Mental Health. The course introduces undergraduates to the field of Prevention Science including research methodology and prevention programs with mental health targets. I usually include some of University of Oregon's videos about their Prevention Science grad programs so that my students can see the possibilities for joining the field. I usually have a couple of grad students as guest speakers (can be video conference or by recording) to talk about their research or interests in prevention. We offer an honorarium to guest speakers ($150), and I am willing to complete a feedback form if they would like for use in their portfolios or job applications. The length of the talk can be around 45 minutes with some time for questions. There are a range of dates between January 9th and 29th that could work, and the class period is from 1pm-3pm. Would you mind passing this invitation along to any of your students you think might be interested? They are welcome to reach back to me directly if they are interested.
Thank you,
Kadie
