Our department is partnering with Psychology once again for the Leona Tyler Lecture, Friday, April 5th, and this year we are hosting a preeminent prevention scientist.

This year's Leona Tyler Award lecturer will be Dr. Phillip W. Graham<https://www.rti.org/expert/phillip-w-graham>, the Director of the Center for Behavioral Health Epidemiology, Implementation, and Evaluation Research at RTI International. Dr. Graham's work centers on the prevention of adolescent violence and substance use. Currently, he leads four grants funded by the National Institutes of Health that address reductions of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) in community settings and strengthen structural support systems to improve outcomes among adolescents and young adults. His work dovetails with an important theme associated with Leona Tyler's work, "ways of promoting peace." The lecture will be in the Gerlinger lounge from 2:30-4 with a reception following.

Dr. Graham will be meeting with faculty and students on Thurs. April 4th and the morning of Fri. April 5th. If you or your lab would like to meet with him, please contact Jen Doty jendoty at uoregon.edu<mailto:jendoty at uoregon.edu>.

Best,

Jen
