Please join me in congratulating Dr. Maggie Osa (attached) who succesfully defended her dissertation, "Expressing disempowering realities through the body: An embodiment approach to disordered eating in Black and African American women," yesterday.

You are encouraged to email Maggie directly with your congratulatory remarks. I also want to note that data collection for Maggie's doctoral dissertation study is ongoing. If you are interested in helping Maggie recruit for a study designed to bring awareness to how racially opressive experiences contribute to Black and African American women's relationship with food and their bodies, please let her know (she is cc'ed here).
