Are you a social science researcher interested in strengthening your open science skills and practicing them in a supportive learning environment?



BITSS's flagship Research Transparency and Reproducibility Training (RT2)<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/berkeley.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=70a92598dcbca62d93d504ee9&id=33c6a09f77&e=2d2206613b__;!!C5qS4YX3!GwFkFIwqKJdhYnywo-DLQyxbMr7oPVaSee0Zb8fDhtpuoDDPCdFOtt3IhxqRTutxuDBicdnVSCmTLxW7Bg2TMiwwv4ej$>, held at UC Berkeley over three days, will give participants the confidence to improve specification through study pre-registration and pre-analysis plans, conduct computational reproductions and replications, and use tools like GitHub and dynamic documents while better understanding norms and standards in the rapidly changing open science landscape.



This year's RT2 will also highlight the topic of credibility and reliability of findings in behavioral and social science research related to aging and health disparities. Sessions include:

  *   Using the Gateway to Global Aging Data
  *   Power calculations for aging research
  *   How to access Medicare data
  *   How to analyze linked administrative data in streamlined ways
  *   Reporting guidelines & helpful tips for economists entering into the health research space
  *   and more!

There will be lots of opportunities for collaborative work, hands-on skill building, and individualized feedback on participants’ own research questions. RT2 is free and BITSS will be able to extend generous support for travel and childcare expenses for selected participants.
