Northwest Prevention Technology Transfer Center Prevention Fellowship Opportunity
Are you interested in learning more about, and engaging in, hands-on prevention work in the Pacific Northwest? Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in a public health, social work, psychology, prevention science, human development or a related field? Are currently living in or willing to relocate to Washington, Idaho, Oregon or Alaska? If the answer is yes, see below for more details.
Fellowship Description: The Northwest Prevention Technology Transfer Center<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/pttcnetwork.org/centers/northwest-pttc/home__;!!C5qS4YX3!ANvtmw-Ne6QQRVTlt6Rorhyb0OD9F67Uwd8031WZyaVSHWeWjeC5O6r5qerPFMsmFFqoHvwtJdMDPTNYhhI$> (NW PTTC) Fellowship Program is a 10-month paid fellowship, designed to expand the field of substance use disorder prevention and build capacity within prevention coalitions in communities in Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services (SAMHSA) Region 10 (Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, Washington). The fellowship occurs in four phases: in Phase 1 (1 month) the fellow works with the NW PTTC team to gain insight about the prevention landscape in Region 10; in Phase 2 (3 months) the fellow works with a Region 10 state behavioral health agency staff to learn more about state-level prevention policies and projects; in Phase 3 (3 months) the fellow works with an existing substance misuse prevention coalition community, serving as a mentee under a current prevention coordinator; and in Phase 4 (3 months), the fellow works with a high-need community in a Region 10 state to begin building a prevention coalition. For all phases, fellows can work remotely from Washington, Idaho, Oregon or Alaska. Applicants of all backgrounds and abilities, especially those from historically underrepresented groups, are encouraged to apply.
