The Prevention Section at Lane County Public Health is hiring a Youth Suicide Prevention Specialist to join their Suicide Prevention Program. The professional filling this position will work with the county's Suicide Prevention Coordinator to:

  *   ​​coordinate and facilitate suicide prevention and mental health promotion trainings; ​
  *   provide postvention support to organizations and communities impacted by youth and adolescent suicide deaths;
  *   provide technical consultation to schools and other organizations in the development of mental health promotion, suicide prevention, intervention and postvention policies, and protocols;
  *   facilitate the youth sub-committee of the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Lane County;
  *   research, analyze, and report on policies and practices that influence suicide, mental health, and wellness in Lane County.
