Dear Students,
Are you interested in learning more about bridging research and policy at the local level or translational research more broadly? If so, please consider joining a new research project with the HEDCO Institute for Evidence-Based Educational Practice! These are hourly research positions for 10-15 hours/week for the 2022-2023 academic year (note: these are NOT GE positions).

Details:
The goal of this study is to better understand how to connect with county legislators and share research on youth and family policy issues that best meet legislative needs.
Research assistants will:
* Learn about best practices for bridging research and policy
* Receive training in creating evidence-based policy briefs on youth and family issues
* Respond to county legislative requests for information by creating briefs
This study is a collaborative effort with Johns Hopkins University. The broader study includes four steps; research assistants will primarily support Step 3 but may also support broader project tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements:
* Senior undergraduate level or Master's level graduate student
* Prior experience in reading and summarizing peer-reviewed research
* Experience with creating graphs and visuals in Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint
* Experience writing and designing policy or research briefs is desired but not required
Additional information:
These are part-time, hourly positions that require 10-15 hours per week. Pay rate is $16/hour.
These positions are for the full academic year (September 26, 2022 - June 9, 2023) but students unsure of their availability beyond the fall semester are still encouraged to apply.
