Subject: Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission, Prevention Subcommittee looking for PREV interns
Hi Nichole and Nicole,
Tony Biglan has asked me to reach out to see if you’d be willing to advertise an *unpaid* opportunity for PREV students to become involved in the work of Oregon’s Alcohol and Drug Policy Commission, Prevention Subcommittee. Tony and I are both members, and we are working on developing strategies to achieve the aims of the Commission’s strategic plan as relate to prevention (posted on the main ADPC website: https://www.oregon.gov/adpc/Pages/index.aspx). Right now, we’re working on crafting recommendations to the ADPC for targeting risk and protective factors via family intervention approaches. The most likely type of learning activity an intern might do would be literature searches and crafting summaries. If you think a student might be interested, let me know.
Best,
Jess
