Hi There,
Could you share the message below with your networks and loved ones? I am trying to get the word out about a fundraiser for LGBTQIA+ students in crisis.
We are fundraising for The LGBTQIA+ Emergency Fund<https://duckfunder.uoregon.edu/project/26483>-which helps LGBTQIA+ students in crisis access food, housing, gender affirming care, and more. This award supports LGBTQIA+ students in a tangible and material way in ensuring a financial crisis does not interrupt their academic journey. Although public acceptance is growing for LGBTQIA+ people, students still experience familial rejection based on their gender or sexuality and are forced to leave college to regain financial stability.
Your donation to the LGBTQIA+ Emergency Fund is given directly to LGBTQIA+ students to access basic necessities to survive.<https://duckfunder.uoregon.edu/project/26483/donate> This fund reminds UO LGBTQIA+ students in crisis that they are not alone in their struggles. Our crowdfunding campaign has just over one week left, and with the COVID-19 pandemic, need is greater than ever before. Many recipients are LGBTQIA+ students of color and students with disabilities.
