Subject: Workshop Updates: Secondary Data Analysis & the National Addiction & HIV Data Archive Program Workshop is still happening! [PLEASE SHARE]
Dear Colleague,
Based upon actions taken by the University of Michigan to eliminate in-person classroom instruction on campus this summer, the ICPSR Summer Program has decided to host all of its available 2020 workshops online so participants can safely enjoy the educational opportunities.
The *free* Secondary Data Analysis & the National Addiction & HIV Data Archive Program Workshop is still happening virtually! It is a 3-day online workshop<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/sumprog/courses/0205__;!!C5qS4YX3!XGCKeBE6kf97SH2sL2BiHEw1iJC8TBtu7Ce89cna-UZon0x4NQKl1BZbr3_Ymug$> to be held on June 24-26 for researchers interested in addiction and/or HIV. This workshop is offered by the National Addiction & HIV Data Archive Program (NAHDAP), a project funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA).
Workshop participants will learn how to plan and conduct data analysis using available secondary data sets from NAHDAP. Early career participants are especially encouraged to apply.
Again, there is no cost to attend the workshop. Please feel free to share this invitation widely with your professional network.
Registration<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.icpsr.umich.edu/icpsrweb/content/sumprog/registration.html__;!!C5qS4YX3!XGCKeBE6kf97SH2sL2BiHEw1iJC8TBtu7Ce89cna-UZon0x4NQKl1BZbD3L1VbA$> is open for the workshop. The registration deadline is May 14, 2020.
Please note however that some workshops have been canceled because they do not translate well to a virtual formal. These include:
· Exploring and Analyzing Monitoring the Future Data: A Primer
· The Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study Data User Workshop: Making Nationally Representative Inferences from the PATH Study Data
o Please stay tuned for related updates. Those interested in learning about the PATH Study should watch the PATH Study 101 video<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWs5YGoRv5Q&feature=youtu.be__;!!C5qS4YX3!XGCKeBE6kf97SH2sL2BiHEw1iJC8TBtu7Ce89cna-UZon0x4NQKl1BZbnq3b8lE$>.
