Dear Prevsci students,

Some of you may have received the Dean’s email below, but for those of you who did not, we wanted to make sure you knew about the memorial for Dr. Smith next Friday. Here is a link to the Around the O announcement, and below is Dean Kamphaus’ email to faculty and staff.

Best,

*****
Dear University Faculty and Staff Colleagues and Friends,

I invite you, and Dr. Tasia Smith's students, to join us on Friday,
January 18 from noon to 2:00pm in the Redwood Room of the EMU. Members
of Tasia's family will join us as we share memories of the many
contributions she made to our lives, both professional and personal. I
also encourage College of Education faculty to allow our students to
attend and participate in this ceremony as they see fit.

Tasia's life and work will be honored by remarks from those who knew her
well, both on and off campus. An opportunity for attendees to share
their own thoughts and memories of Tasia will also be offered at the
close of the ceremony.

If you are unable to attend the ceremony, but would still like share a
message with the family, you may leave a comment in the guestbook which
will be made available in HEDCO 130 from Tuesday, January 8th to
Wednesday, January 16th.

Wishing all who knew Tasia solace,

Randy
