Dear colleagues,

See the attached flyer for information about a presentation by Dr. Eric Turkheimer, Hugh Scott Hamilton Professor of Psychology at the University of Virginia, on “Individual and group differences in behavior: Genetics, psychology, and philosophy”.

The talk will be held Thursday October 4th from 12 – 1:30 in the Lease Crutcher Lewis Room in the EMU, and a light lunch will be served.

In addition to being known for his methodological expertise, Dr. Turkheimer is funded by the John Templeton Foundation to study genetics and human agency. His research and thinking cuts across psychology, education, genetics, philosophy, and methodology and he often poses interesting, somewhat provocative ideas.

More info about his work in available here: http://www.geneticshumanagency.org/gha/

Hope to see some of you there,
Leslie
