following changes will be made to the EDUC 614 course for Winter 2019.

*EDUC 614 Winter 2019 Class options:*

1. The *in-person section* will be offered on *Wed (only) from 4 - 6:50*
with Dr. Mark Van Ryzin.

2. The *online/web section* (with Dr. Mark Van Ryzin) on *Thurs will
start at 5 pm*, so that there is no overlap with other required classes
(CPSY 645)

These updates will show up on Monday (titled “EDUC Master Chart” will be

Resources located at

Dear COE Graduate Students:

I understand that many of you have had numerous problems with
registering for EDUC courses.  I apologize for the inconveniences and
frustration caused.  The College of Education is very excited to have a
notable growth in graduate enrollment this year.  Most of the new
graduate students who we are welcoming are working part-time and
full-time and also live in cities across the state.  We are very
grateful that the diversity of our student body is increasing.  Faculty
and administrators have worked tirelessly to increase the accessibility
of our programs.

It has been my responsibility to coordinate changes to required EDUC
class times and modalities to make sure that all students can access our
curriculum.  The process has not gone smoothly. I believe we’ve reached
the end of course changes, however, and have ensured that all graduate
students can take their required EDUC classes.

In total, we have changed the course times of 4 EDUC courses; the
modality of 2 EDUC courses; the enrollment caps of 5 EDUC courses; and
added two EDUC sections.

On Monday, a complete listing of all EDUC courses with updated changes
(titled “EDUC Master Chart”) will be available on the College of
Education homepage/ Governance/ Curriculum Resources located at
https://coedocs.uoregon.edu/display/governance/COE+Governance+and+Policies

Please refer always to this page for EDUC courses offered during the year.

Thank you again for your feedback about your experiences and patience.
The College is recognized nationally and internationally for its
expertise in various research methods.  This is a particular point of
pride for us.  We want to make sure that all of you can access these
expert faculty.

Krista
