[Prevscilist] Doris Duke Fellowship Awarded to Maria Schweer-Collins!

Hello PREV students and faculty,

We are thrilled to share the wonderful news that Maria Schweer-Collins was selected to receive a Doris Duke Fellowship for the Promotion of Child Well-Being—seeking innovations to prevent child abuse and neglect.

These dissertation fellowships are highly competitive and incredibly prestigious – only 15 students across the US were awarded this fellowship this year.  They are designed to help create the next generation of emerging leaders in the prevention of child maltreatment, though support for the completion of the dissertation and related research, and participation
In peer learning opportunities in order to build a strong, interdisciplinary network within the fellowship.
