Dear Prev Sci students,

Please see the tragic news, below, about one of our faculty members. We encourage all students who are available to join us tomorrow at 9 am in Hedco 230T. We will be making a call-in line available for anyone who cannot be there in person but is able to attend from remote.

Please do not hesitate to contact your advisor or me (Dr. Khurana is traveling) for assistance and support during this time.

Dear CPSY students:

We regret to use email to share that Dr. Tasia Smith was found dead this afternoon in her home. Dean Randy Kamphaus sent an email that many of you received. Faculty have been working for several hours to contact students personally, but we were not able to reach everyone before the email was sent.

We would like everyone who is in town and can attend to join us for a community meeting at 9 am in room 230T HEDCO. Faculty will share what information we have at this time, provide space for us to connect and grieve, and offer our support.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to your advisors for help and support rather than isolating yourself. We must take special care of each other during this time.
