-------- Forwarded Message --------

Greetings,

You are receiving this email because you were unable to attend the New
Student Orientation and Mandatory GE Training September 19th. The makeup
for thus training is Thursday, September 28th, 2017, 1-5 pm, in the
Crater Lake Room in the EMU. This training, which is a product of the
contract negotiations with the GTFF, will provide you knowledge of
university policies, resources, and strategies for dealing with
challenges you may face in your new role as teachers, administrators,
and researchers at the UO.  It will cover topics such as sick leave,
Title IX policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act, resources
available to employees, and other issues pertinent to your role as a
Graduate Employee.

*All Graduate Employees in the first term of their appointment must take
the training. There are no exceptions. *

Attendance will be recorded, and you will be paid for the time you spend
in the training. Once you have completed the training, you have
fulfilled your obligation, and do not have to take the training again in
subsequent terms. If you do not participate in the training you risk
losing subsequent GE appointments.

Best wishes,

Tori C Byington, Ph.D.
