Dear students:

The Office of International Affairs would like to encourage you to consider applying for a Fulbright Fellowship. Fulbright includes a wide range of awards, including substantial funding for international research, teaching English abroad, pursuing a graduate degree in a foreign university, and other opportunities. On Wednesday April 5, an national representative from Fulbright will visiting the UO campus to talk with students about the awards and the application process.

Here is a more comprehensive list of the available Fulbright Fellowships:

  *   Fellowships to pursue a year of master's level study in another country
  *   Funding to conduct international research to support an MA thesis, dissertation, or independent project
  *   English Teaching Assistantships: teaching or co-teaching English as a second language
  *   Awards to pursue projects or formal study in the creative arts
  *   Fulbright-Clinton Fellowships: placements in public service internships with government offices
  *   Fulbright-National Geographic Digital Storytelling Fellowships: awards to intern in a digital storytelling research project/production of online content for NatGeo

The Fulbright Info Session for Students will take place on:
Wednesday April 5
260 Condon Hall
3-4:30pm

At the info session we will go over the application process; we will also discuss strategies on how to write competitive essays and how to go about securing strong letters of recommendation.

Who can apply for Fulbright?
1. Current undergraduate students who will receive their degree by June 2017 in order to begin a Fulbright Fellowship during the 2017-18 academic year
2. Current and future graduate students enrolled in a MA or PhD program.
Applicants must be US citizens

The campus deadline is September 15, 2017. By that date, all applicants must submit their full applications online in order to participate in the UO campus interview process for Fulbright.
