[Prevscilist] 3 important faculty senate motions

Dear Prevention Science Student Colleagues,

This week three motions were passed by the UO Faculty Senate that we wanted to share with you:


1.      A motion to "Declare UO A Sanctuary Campus"


2.      A motion to "Reaffirm Our Shared Values of Respect for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion". These two motions are a direct response to actual and anticipated incidents here and nationwide in the recent weeks.


3.      A motion for the "Students Sexual and Gender-Based Harassment and Violence Complaint and Response Policy Proposal." This motion revised the current policy to be more attentive to concerns raised by survivors as well as concerns raised by students and faculty.  Updated syllabus content that is consistent with the new policy will be developed and made available to those of you who are teaching.
