payroll: Postdoctoral Scholars

Effective 1/1/2018, all postdoctoral scholars will be moved to new employee classes.  The need for separate employee classes was driven by Senate Bill 214 which changes the retirement plans for some postdoctoral scholars.  Since this change impacts the cost to the university it is important to put postdoctoral scholars into a different Blended OPE rate.  Originally, departments were charged the Faculty/Staff A rate (72.30%) for postdoctoral scholars but with the new employee classes they will now be charged the Faculty/Staff B rate (48.30%).

New Employee Classes
FK           Postdoc 9 month .50 + FTE
FM         Postdoc 12 month .50 + FTE
FN          Postdoc 9 month < .50 FTE
FO          Postdoc 12 month < .50 FTE
