I don't actually know at what point mcverter will run into trouble with this! It might work, it might not. I'm probably not patient enough to wait for it to try. If there's anything in the filename that would let you group them into studies, I would probably
do that first. If there isn't anything in the filename, I'd probably use pydicom (if you like python) or dcmtk (if you like bash) to read the studyuid and then move them into folders based on that. Then you can run mcverter on each study (hopefully in parallel).</div>

<p class="x_MsoNormal"> I have a large set of DICOM files which I have to sort and convert to Nifti. There are about 1 M files</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">in a flat structure, in a directory. I was wondering if mcverter will be able to convert these to Nifti volumes, if I</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal">execute the routine with the top level directory as the input?</p>
<p class="x_MsoNormal"> Also, is there any thing I can do in terms of pre-preparation / pre-sorting that would help me with
