mriconvert: issue under Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS

hi - I am using Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS
and re-installed MRIConv recently under Neurodebian

I had to reinstall the app becos last week becos
the conversion process suddenly faltered
only get _info.txt but no *.nii files
are generated. strange cause it was working
fine previously on the same machine.

i did the unistall - re-install several times
and tried to fully erase previous app files
with sudo dpkg --purge MRIConverter
but still have the same problems

can you help please?
