mriconvert: Unhandled exception: Unable to find number of slices

I'm running MRIconvert v2 rev250 on my 64bit Win7 via the gui.
Consistently, I get an "unhandled exception error" on the ep2d_diff_mddw_30 sequence from a 3T Siemens Trio.
The details of this error message  indicate "unable to find number of slices".
All of the other sequences from the same scanner process perfectly fine.
Is there something I can try to get the ep2d_diff_mddw_30 sequence to be handled properly by MRIconvert?
