[Math_club] UO Math Club, Co-presidential Election.

Hello Everyone,

As you may know, one of the Copresidents of the UO undergraduate Math Club (Christina) will be graduating this year, so we will be holding an election for her successor while I, Milo, will be staying for one more year. Let’s be clear about the details of how this will happen.

If you wish to run, email all of the following Math club officials, and do so by Tuesday of Week 9 (May 26, 2026):

If you wish to run, you must be a Math Major, have attended at least 1 Math Club Meeting, and promise to uphold the inclusive and kind nature of the club. Furthermore, you must be prepared to do the floor of one half of the following tasks.


  *
Acquiring Pizza (with Math Department money).
  *
Addressing the club in person.
  *
Messaging (club mailing list, Instagram, requesting that a message be sent to all math students).
  *
Suggesting meeting plans.
  *
Outreach to guest speakers.
  *
Attending (essentially) every club meeting.

You will be required to submit a mission statement (do so while emailing us) explaining why you are interested in co-leading the club , what you will have to contribute, and your math background, and more if you’d like. We will then post these on a google form, where people will be able to vote during week 9 and 10, and we will announce the results on finals week.
