di: di Digest, Vol 114, Issue 2

Dear List,

In response to the comments about computer delivery of instruction, I have
been able to greatly improve the speed of program delivery for Language For
Learning and DISE with practice videos. They have proven essential for me
in Japan, where students often have only 30 minutes per week to devote to
formal English lesson time. For LFL, students who used the videos regularly
were able to finish roughly one program lesson per 30 minutes, about 3x
faster than those who didn't use the videos.

I made videos for the first 85 lessons in LFL and am currently working on
DISE. If these would be of interest or use to anyone, I would be happy to
share them, pending the necessary approvals.

Warm regards,
Chris
