Do you know someone?

 

The family lives in the Mt. Airy neighborhood of Philadelphia. They are pulling their daughter from Friends School and transferring her next fall to the public school, where they fear she will enter second grade significantly behind her peers in reading. They would like to get her a tutor for over the summer if not sooner.

 

The child's mom is director of development for a top-notch non-profit and her dad is a successful attorney who works in education, so almost certainly her problems are not related to language comprehension but to decoding.
