di: middle school math

A good friend  of mine is going to teach 7th and 8th grade math to reg ed students next year in her first teaching job. Given the poor prep she has received in her “ training” as a teacher, what are some good resources ( videos, books, websites,etc.) that provide good teaching demos, classroom set-up, how to modify the typical middle school math program to make it more effective,etc.?
