Good morning CPHS faculty and graduate students,

As we start our day and continue our daily academic routines of classes, research, clinical/field work today, I hope everyone also prioritizes spending time to be in community spaces that support and embrace you this week (and beyond).

On my mind this morning, as is likely on many of yours, is that the upcoming changes in federal government leadership come with some uncertainties. For some of us, that uncertainty may be very personal and scary; for others, the uncertainty
may be in relation to our clients or our research agenda and calls upon our skills of empathy, care, and understanding. I do not have answers to the many questions you justifiably will have in the coming days and weeks. I wish that I did! But what I can state,
with confidence and pride, is that CPHS is a home, a space, a community that values and respects each and every one of you (and, others outside of our CPHS community). Every single one of you belongs here. We support, value, and honor YOU, and we will remain
steadfast to our departmental mission as we carry-on in our day-to-day work. Please take care of yourselves and reach out to those in your community, as you find helpful.

CPHS Mission: The CPHS Department is committed to advancing research and scholarship to improve prevention and intervention practices for children, youth, adults, families, and communities. We are dedicated to training socially aware and
culturally responsive clinicians, researchers, and interventionists who engage across ecological levels, utilize evidence-based practices, and, in partnership with their communities, work to reduce inequities and enhance relationships, health, and well-being.
