<p class="MsoNormal">CPSY faculty have been asked to share the attached flyer, which advertises
<b>Synapse</b>, a new student group dedicated to “working with those with traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) and raising awareness in the community.” The UO chapter of Synapse is currently looking to recruit interested students for its membership.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">According to the <a href="https://synapsenational.wixsite.com/synapse">
national chapter’s website</a>, “Synapse supports individuals with brain injuries by building a powerful social support network and inspiring the next generation of leaders and advocates in the field.”
<a href="https://uoregon.campuslabs.com/engage/organization/synapse_eugene">Local chapters (such as UO’s)</a> “bring together individuals with brain injuries and those who care for them, providing them with a space to share experiences, resources and support
while building meaningful social connections;” create buddy programs that “pair individuals with brain injuries with local Synapse students to foster personal connections and help reduce social isolation;” and “host conferences featuring physicians and scientists
to share the latest advances and raise awareness of issues related to brain injury in the broader community.”<o:p></o:p></p>
