cpsylist: Combined GradSem this Friday, 10:15-11:45am in HEDCO 220

Dear CPSY Faculty and Students,

Welcome to the start of spring term! I hope you all had a restful and restorative spring break. I look forward to seeing you all around HEDCO in the coming weeks.

I'm writing to remind you that this Friday, April 4th, there will be a Combined GradSem from 10:15-11:45am in HEDCO 220.

In addition to students, who are required to attend, faculty are strongly encouraged to attend.

Counseling Psychology students-Shaylah Bryant, Annika Stensland, and Bonnie Schrag-will co-led a presentation on weight discrimination and bias.

The learning objectives of this presentation include:

*         Define body size bias and identify how it shows up around you.

*         Review the negative consequences of weight discrimination.

*         Describe the multiple factors that contribute to body size.

*         Identify and commit to strategies to reduce body size discrimination and promote inclusion.

Please note, refreshments will not be provided at this Combined GradSem.
