[Fair contract now! UAUOREGON.ORG/BARGAINING]
As you might have heard, faculty members have been negotiating with the University of Oregon administration for a new contract since February 2024. Our union, United Academics (UA AFT-AAUP Local 3209), is asking for fair wages based on the average faculty salaries at peer institutions<https://www.uauoregon.org/bargaining/>.

Because we have not been able to reach a fair deal over the past year, we began the process of state mediation on January 24th. This initiates a legal timeline towards a potential labor action<https://www.oregon.gov/erb/pages/pecba.aspx> if we cannot reach a fair agreement with the University of Oregon. UO's leadership can avoid the possibility of a faculty strike by agreeing to a fair contract for all faculty workers. Learn more here: https://strengthenuo.org/
