Good afternoon,

My name is Sarabeth Johnson and I am a second-year master's student in the History Department here at UO. I am currently writing my thesis on trauma caused by family separation in the Gulag and I was wondering if there is anyone in your department who has researched trauma and might be interested in being on my thesis committee. I consulted the psychology department, but the department head informed me that their trauma specialist was no longer working at the UO and suggested that I consult your department. I would greatly appreciate any assistance I can get (even if it means not being on my committee) as I am learning a lot about trauma (as well as complicated grieving and ambiguous loss) via reading and would like to confirm that what I am learning is accurate.
