Dear CPSY Doctoral Students:
I am passing along additional information about the “Research Speed Dating” doctoral seminar next Friday, January 20th , in HEDCO 220 from 10:15 – 11:45. As you may remember, this is one of several combined doc seminars that was scheduled in advance for the AY 22-23 year, thank you for this great suggestion!
Meet with many of the CPHS faculty for this fast-paced and light-hearted event. It is an opportunity to learn specific details about faculty research, student research opportunities, and connect as a CPHS research community. This event is required/part of “doc sem” for doctoral students, and masters students in CPHS have also been invited and we anticipate that some will join.
Students will rotate to brief 4 to 5-minute faculty conversations about their research. Coffee, Tea, Juice, and donuts/pastries will be provided. Thank you to Jeff Todahl for organizing the event, and to Nicole Giuliani and Jen Doty for managing it on the 20th.
This in-person event is an opportunity to connect, socialize, and learn efficiently about the range of exciting research happening in our community.
I am looking forward to it and to seeing you there!
Leslie

The University of Oregon is located on Kalapuya Ilihi, the traditional indigenous homeland of the Kalapuya people. Today, descendants are citizens of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians of Oregon, and they continue to make important contributions in their communities, at UO, and across the land we now refer to as Oregon.
