cpsylist: Externship documentation essentials

Dear Student Colleagues,

Here is some important information regarding externship evaluations & documentation. Your externship supervisor should receive a link each term that enables them to complete your evaluation in Tk20 during week 10. Please double check with them. You must be enrolled in externship credits for this to happen.

You are required to get a copy of that evaluation (and your self eval and supervisor eval) to your externship instructor (currently, Benedict) and Danette (for your files). No one can get to these materials in your tk20 folder.
You must also complete and turn in your signed summary of hours for each externship to Benedict and Danette. It is attached and on our resources page. You are responsible for maintaining a log of all hours in time2track.

Here is how to download a pdf of your evaluation from tk20 so that you can send it to Benedict and Danette (screenshots attached).


  1.  From the tk20 binder, click on the 'Assessment' tab.
  2.  Click the link of the evaluation that you want to print.
  3.  Click the 'Print-Friendly View' link at the top of the evaluation.
  4.  The evaluation will open in a separate tab of the window and from there the student can print to pdf.

Please download all such copies of your evaluations for externship to keep for your own records. When you apply to internship, we will audit your program file to be sure that all evaluations (and signed summary logs!) for all externships and practica are present. Don't wait to do this. Work with Danette to ascertain that your externship materials are up to date (and that all of your adult and child family prac materials are present too) by beginning of your fourth year.

If your externship materials are not submitted to the instructor of record each term, you will not receive a pass grade.
