This is a final reminder email to distribute the research on research eperiences survey. See below for more details. Thanks so much for your support with our data collection.

My name is Stephanie Chambers-Baltz and I am a doctoral candidate at Southern Illinois University. Our research lab is in our final phase, Phase 3, of our study on how research team experiences affect graduate students’ research outcomes. To learn about this, we are administering surveys to the primary investigators of research labs and the doctoral students in those research labs. We obtained your email through your program’s website. If you would like to offer this research opportunity to your faculty and doctoral students, please forward this email to the primary investigators and the doctoral students in your program.

Study Information
The survey will be administered 3x over the 2021-2022 academic year:
(1) Late Fall; (2) Early Spring; (3) Late Spring.
The survey will take 20-30 min for doctoral students and 25-45 minutes for PIs.

Participation is voluntary and withdrawal carries no penalty.

Incentives
Research labs with ≥ 80% completion rates will be offered a research consultation about their de-identified lab results.

  *   The three labs with the highest percentage of participants will each win a $100 ClinCard
  *   Students may benefit from reflecting on their research lab experience.
  *   PIs may record their participation in this research and consultation as a Professional Development--Research Self-Study Program and note this in their CV and/or Faculty Annual Activity Report/Performance Appraisal. PIs will also receive a certificate of completion to verify their participation if their lab has an 80% completion rate or higher.
