Dear CPSY Community,
Today is the International Trans Day of Visibility. This day was created to focus attention on celebrating transgender and non-binary individuals and the courage it takes to live with visibility and authenticity. As activist-therapists, let's do something new today, or more of something, to affirm pride and strengthen allyship.
If you were not aware, if you have a master's degree and additional professional development, you can become a health provider who provides transition assessments and trans-affirmative counseling. Look up the information, ask me, or ask a first-year student who completed CPSY 615.
Amidst the terror and hate that continues, may today bring greater intentionality to see and celebrate trans individuals.
Krista

I support all students regardless of immigration status or country of origin. I support Dreamer students and promote their sense of belonging and safety as they pursue their higher education goals. Remember, when interacting with faculty, staff, and offices around campus you are never required to reveal your status.
