Subject: dissertation recruitment request

Hello Dr. McWhirter,

My name is Emily Wilson, and I am a doctoral student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, conducting dissertation research working with my advisor Dr. Michael Scheel. I’m recruiting for research project examining how mental health practitioners perceive, respond to, and conceptualize clients at intake. We are interested in soliciting participation from licensed mental health practitioners who have graduated from a masters or doctoral level program in clinical, counseling, or school psychology, and graduate student trainee mental health practitioners in clinical, counseling, and school psychology programs. I found your information on your program's website, and I hope that you would be willing to share this research announcement with graduate students and colleagues at the University of Oregon.

Greetings,

We are a research team at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Counseling Psychology doctoral program. We are reaching out to licensed mental health practitioners and graduate student trainee mental health practitioners to inquire if you are interested in participating in a study examining how mental health practitioners perceive, respond to, and conceptualize clients at intake. You may be eligible to participate in this study if you are the age of majority in your state of residence, are currently practicing as a mental health professional, and are either a trainee in clinical, counseling, or school psychology program, OR are a graduate from a clinical, counseling, or school psychology program (masters or doctoral level).

This study involves reading some clinical intake vignettes and answering questions about them, as well as some questions about your beliefs, knowledge, and previous training and experience as a mental health professional. This survey should take about 45 minutes to complete. Upon completion of this study, you will have the opportunity to enter your email in a drawing for one of twenty-five $20 cash gift cards.

Your participation in this study is voluntary. If you are interested in participating, please click the link below:
