cpsylist: Admissions 2021

Good afternoon everyone,

I hope you have some time to take a break this weekend. We have made it through another week of Covid-Zoom learning and work. Congrats….

Our admissions process was very protracted this year for a number of reasons, only some of which you might find interesting. Candidates across the country have until April 15 to accept or decline offers of admissions. That was yesterday. Also, as you know, the university’s commitment to securing funding for nearly all continuing doctoral students left the College with very few degrees of freedom for bringing in new students. As such, we could only make limited offers this year under pretty restrictive conditions.

Nevertheless, we have a wonderful – and small – group of incoming CPSY doctoral students. Please welcome to the CPSY program the following four people for 2021:

Casey Harris
Nimisha Kumar
Kelly Jean Doty

Please let Danette know what you need (emails, I imagine) in order to set up your student mentoring matches.
