My name is Maggie Fluhrer. I am a student at the University of Oregon, and I work with White Bird Clinic's Crisis intervention team in an admin support role. I wanted to share with the career center and the Division of Equity and Inclusion that the crisis team is recruiting for three crisis counselors for 30 hours per week with the option to increase hours once fully trained. If you have a place you post jobs to students seeking employment either before or after graduation we would love to share this information with you. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and self-regulation skills. We seek to expand services to reach a greater number and more diverse range of community members in need.

Crisis Counselors provide crisis intervention, suicide prevention, risk assessment, information & referral, accessible transportation referral, and brief supportive counseling to clients who are in emotional distress and/or seeking information on available mental health services.
