cpsylist: Spring Group Counseling ("Psychotherapy") course

Greetings everyone.

The Group Psychotherapy course will not be offered in the spring term. Sorry for this situation. For first years, your option is to take an elective this spring and the good news is that there are many good ones to choose from. Here are some. You do get some content related to Jean's class in Child Family Interventions already, so consider that, but I wanted to list it here anyway.


Next spring, 2021, I plan on teaching Group Psychotherapy. The course will be titled something like "CPSY: Group Dynamics and Counseling".  First years can take group next spring and just fulfill another program requirement this year. Or I may be convinced to do a couple workshops on group counseling with you first years sometime next year - how about on social cohesion and inclusion, control, and affection needs during Oregon Duck games while at Pegasus?-ok, maybe not!.



BTW- if you take Social Aspect of Behavior class it covers a lot of social psychology related to group dynamics, etc. and you need that class anyway.



We are working on not having this happen again.
