cpsylist: Revision to the CPSY Comprehensive Exam

Greetings all-
I hope you are all doing well.

Please see attached memo regarding changes to the CPSY Comprehensive Exam that faculty have been working on this term.
These changes are in effect immediately. We will continue to gather feedback about this new process over the next year as well.

Along with extensive discussion and input from all faculty over the past couple of months, we considered feedback that you shared with your advisors over the past few years and feedback received from six (6) CPSY student leaders and who recently completed comps toward the end of the process. From all these sources some feedback has been integrated, some ideas were not included, and some feedback we will hold to inform potential future changes to comps.

If you have questions please ask your advisor as all faculty have been in discussion on this topic over the last few weeks. Also, I will hold a comps orientation meeting for this summer 2019 comps takers. I will send out a doodle poll to meet during week 9 or 10 meeting (also noted in the memo).
