Postdoctoral Fellow in Childhood Adversity and Resilience

Post-doctoral research position for 2 years. Role includes working with a research team headed by Professor George Bonanno and other faculty collaborators on longitudinal research projects related to traumatic stressors (e.g., sexual abuse and assault) in children and adolescents. The aim of this research is to inform intervention and policy regarding trauma-exposed children and adolescents. With the supervision of the Principal Investigator, the postdoctoral fellow will be expected to participate in data analyses and writing of manuscripts and encouraged to design and execute original research using laboratory and questionnaire methods, either independently or in collaboration with the research team.

The Principal Investigator will supervise and hold final approval of all independent and collaborative work. Experience with advanced computational analyses and psychophysiological and/or biological variables is particularly desired. Some of the work may involve supervising masters and doctoral students. However, there will be considerable room for independent and collaborative scholarship.

The fellowship includes a $65,000 annual salary and other benefits afforded to full-time professional employees (e.g. health insurance; see here for more details). Appointment is for a twelve-month period, and renewable for a second year contingent upon satisfactory progress and notification by January 30, 2020. The start date is June 1, 2019 but there is flexibility.
