Danette and Tiffany,
Can you please let the grad school know about this decline tomorrow? Perhaps they can re-purpose the travel funds for someone else, and, they can definitely re-purpose the PSA in the round they are making decisions about now.
Thanks very much,
Leslie

Dear Dr. Leve,
I hope this message finds you well. I have now heard back from all of the programs to which I applied, and wanted to send you an update. After taking some time to reflect on my options, I have decided that I am going to accept an admission offer from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I want to say thank you, again, for the offer to join you all at the University of Oregon, for advocating on my behalf for the Promising Scholar Award, as well as the offer to cover the cost of a campus visit. While I feel very fortunate to have options during this process, it has not been easy to make a decision. I am thoroughly impressed by your program and the caliber of the training it provides. It was a pleasure meeting you, Dr. Leve, and I do hope to cross paths with you in professional circles in the future.
Warm regards,
Camille Williams

Hi Camille,
I am very pleased to let you know that we heard yesterday that you have been awarded up to $500 in travel funds from the UO Graduate School, to travel here for a campus visit. Typically, these funds are used on airfare and/or lodging. We previously discussed a potential visit for the first week of April for your visit, as Benedict McWhirter will be back on campus then, but I recognize that you have other balls in the air which may affect the timing. What date would work best for you?
Once we have a date, we will work for COE finance to book your flights. We could arrange meetings for you with a few students and faculty, and schedule a tour of the campus. Depending on your preferences, we could also see if a graduate student could host you at their apartment, although some prospective students prefer hotel or AirB&B accommodations and this is certainly up to you. If you are coming from LA, you might also be able to fly in and out in a single day, depending on flight options and your preferences.
Congratulations on receiving this travel scholarship and let us know what would work best for you!
Leslie
