Subject: Prevention Section Nominations - JUNE DEADLINE
Good morning,
APA’s Division 17 Prevention Section is excited to announce that we are now accepting nominations to highlight your graduate students’ prevention efforts. We are in search of graduate students conducting outreach or prevention research or implementing prevention efforts. Students, professors, and supervisors can nominate a graduate student by submitting the form attached. The Prevention Section will highlight one graduate student on Division 17’s listserv and website per quarter as well as be invited to present at the 2019 annual APA Convention’s Division 17 Prevention Section Social Hour Poster Session. The highlighted graduate students will be eligible to receive scholarships from the Prevention Section to help attend the APA Conference for the efforts to improve our field.
If you believe that one or more of your graduate students have been making great strides in the prevention world, please nominate them to gain the recognition they deserve and possibly a scholarship. In addition, feel free to send the nomination form to others in your department as anyone can nominate a student, including the student themself. Although nominations can be submitted at any point, in order to be highlighted in the upcoming quarter, nominations should be submitted by June 20th. Nomination forms as well as any other questions can be submitted to Diana Carbonell at dmg16b at my.fsu.edu<mailto:dmg16b at my.fsu.edu>
We look forward to hearing about your student’s work,
Diana Carbonell, M.S.W.
