Please see below for information regarding a study that I am conducting 
with the Health Center. Graduate students are also eligible to 
participate and win a gift card (1 in 5 will win)! Please also spread 
the word in your the courses that you teach and other interactions with 
students. Thank you!


I am reaching out for your help in circulating an important study 
opportunity for University of Oregon students. The University Health 
Center’s Health Promotion Department and colleagues in the School of 
Journalism and Communication are partnering to conduct an online survey 
to gain student input to directly inform sexual health programs and 
resources for students. The survey will be open through January.

We are asking for your support to reach a diverse sample of UO students. 
I have pasted an email/Canvas announcement template below, and also, 
have attached a PowerPoint slide and script for you to read at any 
in-person event where students or other colleagues interested in sharing 
the study might be present (ex: lecture, student group meeting, staff 
meeting).  All have been approved by the UO’s IRB. With your help, our 
goal is to reach over 1,000 students.

I appreciate your help in conducting this important research! If you do 
decide to share this announcement via email or in person, please let us 
know as we will be tracking distribution and recruitment efforts for the 
study.

STUDY ANNOUNCEMENT
Are you interested in the sexual health of our campus community? We want 
to hear from you!
Share your voice and experiences by participating in an online survey 
conducted by researchers at the University Health Center and the School 
of Journalism and Communication.

The purpose of this study is to better understand UO students’ 
perceptions about the sexual health environment at the University of 
Oregon and student views related to sexual health.
To participate in this study you must:
•	Be a UO student
•	Be 18 years old or older
Participation in this study involves:
•	15-20 minutes to complete an online survey; your responses will be 
anonymous
•	You will be entered into a drawing to receive a $10 gift card to your 
choice of Chipotle, Starbuck’s or Amazon.com for your participation
o	1 in 5 students will receive a gift card!
•	You will have the opportunity to participate in a follow-up survey and 
be entered into a drawing for a $15 gift card
